Why WooCommerce catalogs get messy

WooCommerce gives you plenty of ways to add products in bulk. The built-in Product CSV Importer and Exporter takes a spreadsheet, WP All Import pulls CSV or XML files straight from a supplier's feed URL, and AliExpress importer extensions copy a listing in one click. Every route carries the supplier's text with it: model codes packed into the product name and a description pasted from a marketplace listing, sometimes in the supplier's language.

Then the gaps show. WooCommerce has no meta description field of its own, so that comes from an SEO plugin, and when Rank Math's SEO description is empty it falls back to the product short description, which on an imported product is often the supplier's text again. Products imported without a category land in the default Uncategorized category. And the gallery holds whatever photos the supplier shot, on mismatched backgrounds.
