How BigCommerce catalogs end up half-finished
BigCommerce's own help center calls CSV import the fastest way to add products, including products from a third-party distributor, and Products > Import takes files up to 20 MB. Dropshipping apps from the BigCommerce App Marketplace, like Spocket and Syncee, go further and fill your store with supplier data for you. Either way, the product name and description are the supplier's, written for their catalog rather than your store.
The SEO section of the product is where it shows. When a product's Page Title is empty, BigCommerce uses the product name. When its Meta Description is empty, the page falls back to the one in your homepage SEO settings, so hundreds of products can end up with the same meta description. And in the current import format, categories are set by category ID rather than by name, which makes them easy to leave out of a big import.

How will pricing work on BigCommerce?
BigCommerce pricing hasn't been set. On Shopify, both apps are free to install, include 100 free credits and sell one-time credit packs from $5, so there's no subscription.
Will it work with multiple storefronts and channels?
Enterprise stores on BigCommerce can override a product's name, description and SEO fields per channel and locale. Tell us about your channels in the form so we can check them before your store is set up.
