Norlif replaces supplier copy with clear product names, descriptions and meta data for a whole catalog, the way it already works for Shopify stores. Now it's coming to Shopware 6.
Where Shopware product content falls behind
Shopware 6 imports products under Settings > Automation > Import/Export, using CSV files and profiles. The Default product profile covers the name, description, cover image and categories, which have to be entered as UUIDs. Its example file has no meta title or meta description, and extra images need a custom profile. Whatever the source, the text that lands in the product is usually the supplier's.
Translations are the next problem. You translate each field by switching language at the top of the product page, and until you do, the field shows the text of the language it inherits from. If your English inherits from German, English shoppers see German product copy. Sales channels, each with their own domains and languages, multiply the work.
